Stellar was selected as one of the 4 Gold winners at the European Startup Prize (EUSP) for Mobility at a grandiose event at the European Parliament on October 26, 2023. The EUSP is a prize that distinguishes the startups that will lead European mobility to a cleaner and more sustainable future.

With Stellar’s mission to bring digital life to vehicles and passengers through a perfect internet and deep data intelligence, the startup is developing a full suite of products and services for the land mobility sector (cars, campers, buses, trucks, trains, shuttles, and even tractors). All Stellar’s solutions, whether targeting enterprize customers or consumers, can combine the very best of cellular, Wi-Fi, and satellite networks to enable persistent in-vehicle digital services. Winning this European prize will contribute to further its European activities, including the Luxembourg-based stronghold, as this prestigious recognition accelerates the development of Stellar.
Throughout the EUSP competition, the team at Stellar could convince the jury and audience that true sustainability and digitalization in the mobility sector are a direct byproduct of ubiquitous broadband connectivity provided to all passengers and vehicles on the move.

Damien Garot, the CEO of Stellar, also raised the importance of timing about the IRIS² satellite constellation which is under development by a consortium coordinated by the European Commission:

"This European prize validates the vision of Stellar for a connected and sustainable mobility. It also comes at the right time, as Europe is discussing its sovereign constellation program IRIS², where we firmly believe that Stellar's unique solutions can bring IRIS² and Europe’s connectivity ambitions for the road mobility sector to compete with international players. A hybrid solution is the way forward. This is also an acknowledgement of the amazing work of the team. I am so proud!"

The European Startup Prize for Mobility is an EU-founded private/public initiative that was started by Karima Delli, the Chairwoman of the European Parliament’s Transport Committee, the Boston Consulting Group and Via ID with the aim to recognize clean mobility startups which are creating a more sustainable future for mobility. The 4 Gold Winners were selected from 700 mobility startup applicants.
This distinction means that Stellar will also be able to benefit from consultancy support by Roland Berger, a prestigious European consultancy with a strong international presence, on top of participating in a 3-month acceleration program with Via ID, which is focused on projects in new mobility, and gain access to a “one-stop-shop” for multiple financing opportunities with EU investors (European Investment Bank, EIT Urban Mobility, among others) as well as hundreds of private investors.
Throughout this acceleration process, Stellar will continue developing its B2B solutions, and will also prepare for the launch of a first B2C solution that will be unveiled at CES2024 in Las Vegas in January 2024, and shipped to customers in the first half of 2024.
